When the organisation was bought together unfortunately the McDonnell culture prevailed and all the McDAC people headed the organisation.
Now have bodies in the grave thanks to the Boeing safety culture being overwhelmed by the thugs from Long Beach. McDaC had an excellent aircraft in the MD series but they wouldn’t invest in wing technology which could have seen the DC9 stable still with us today.
We had a similar cultural clash when TAA/Australian and Qantas came together. The wrong leadership prevailed.
